URA continue unbeaten run with win over Onduparaka

URA FC continued their unbeaten run in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a 3-1 win over Onduparaka 3-1  Friday at Mandela National Stadium,Namboole.

The tax collectors who have not suffered defeat this season, moved to fourth place in the league on 20 points, seven below leaders KCCA who were not in action.

Shafiq Kagimu opened the scoring for URA through a penalty in the 23rd minute before Abel Mike Eturude scored an own goal to made it 2-0 in the 44 minute.

Viane Sekajugo pulled one back or Onduparaka at the end of the first half before Abdallah Nyanzi extended URA’s lead in the 82rd minute.

In the same game, Onduparaka right back Denis Okot was given marching orders by the centre referee Alex Muhabi for a second bookable offence.

Elsewhere, Badru Nsubuga and Michael Birungi each scored as Express beat Nyamityobora 2-1 at Muteesa II Stadium – Wankulukuku. Alex Komakech scored a consolation for Nyamityobora.
