CHARITY
"As I speak now, people are moving up and down looking for money for Christmas. Others are busy in the supermarkets; picking whatever they think will make their Christmas Day a memorable event.
But as we spend big for the festive season, we need to be mindful of our less-privileged brethren, especially the children and single mothers in slums, who don't even expect to have a meal on Christmas Day.
"Let us identify with them. Let us give them hope and love. It is only if we show commitment to the needy that the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ will have meaning."
These were the words of Pastor Daniel Mutibwa, the Senior Pastor of Kajjansi Miracle Centre Church as he delivered his sermon during the children's Christmas Festival that he organised at the Church in Wakiso district on Saturday.
Over 1,000 orphaned and destitute children attended the annual festival, during which Pastor Mutibwa treated them to a sumptuous Christmas meal that was majorly sponsored by philanthropists from Canada.
