Keturah Kamugasa remembered

KETURAH KAMUGASA

On Sunday, former colleagues, friends and well-wishers gathered at Terranga Restaurant in Bugolobi, Kampala to celebrate the life of Lydia Keturah Kamugasa Akiiki.

The same event was used to raise funds for Rahab Uganda, an organisation started by Keturah to rehabilitate and train victims of human trafficking and disadvantaged girls to complete their education.

The Keturah Kamugasa Fund, was set up to contribute to tuition fees for rescued girls under the care of Rahab Uganda.

Annet Kirabira, the chief executive officer of Rahab Uganda says Keturah brought the idea of girls out in the community who needed the support. She says Keturah marketed the idea until an organisation was launched.
