KAMPALA - President Yoweri Museveni has urged Ugandans to lead and live meaningful and responsible lifestyles to enhance their socio-economic development at all levels.

"To survive in Uganda is a challenge," he told a congregation during the wedding of Isaac Rubega and Maj. Allen Atuhaire in Kampala.

This was at Church of the Resurrection, Bugolobi Church of Uganda.

"People do not decisively know what to do.

"That is why they incidentally die, mostly being diverted by things that are meaningless - unscrupulous life, consuming alcohol and sedating themselves," Museveni added.

He also congratulated the newly wedded couple

The President said that he attended the young couple's wedding because the bride, Maj. Atuhaire, had shown exemplary management skills in her assignments, a quality which will come in handy in her marriage and family life.

"I have worked with Allen for a long time. She knows how to survive in life," he said.

On his part, Rev. Steven Bamutungire, in his sermon, tasked people with realising that marriage is a mission of submission between married couples.

"Choosing to love one another is a covenant of God," he preached.
