RAKAI - Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has donated several items to a school  in Rakai district that caught fire early last month.

As many as 11 students were killed in a fierce dormitory fire at St. Bernard's SS Manya on November 11.

It was a boy's dorm.

Nearly a month since the catastrophic inferno, Buganda's king has extended a hand of generosity to the school.

This kind gesture came in the form of 100 bags of cement and 100 iron sheets to reconstruct the Senior Three boys' dormitory.

The donation was delivered on Friday by Kooki Lukiiko representative Gertrude Ssebugwaawo, who handed over the items to the school's admnistration. Head teacher Henry Nsubuga was present.

On his part, the school head thanked the Kabaka for his generosity.

As the nation reels from that nightmare, investigations into the fire continue.
