Hip Hop Awards 2017 Artist of the Year, Pryce Teeba, and prominent hip hop,RnB record label, Dustville have cut ties after more than seven years together.

According to reports, Dustville recently released the Side Zeno hit rapper with the label’s chairman and CEO Don Michael confirmed that the entertainer is 'no longer' with them. Michael however, did not elaborate on why the split happened.

Pryce Teeba joined Dustville in 2012 and enjoyed a highly successful run (as far as hip hop is concerned) with the Ntinda based record label. He subsequently released his first mixtape under the label called Kiwedde, in July 2014, which introduced him to the Ugandan hip hop scene.

He went on to release singles such as Ye Wange, Yongeza Omuliro and Mubajjune before he went on to release his second mixtape, Kambajulire, which was referred to as an album by many in the hip hop fraternity.

It was nominated in the inaugural hip hop awards in the category of mixtape of the year but lost to rapper Keko’s  Love from Venus mixtape however, his hit lead single Side Zeno went on to win song of the year at the same awards.

Since joining the label, Pryce secured collaborations with top acts such as Patrobas, TuckerHD, Byg Ben, Ruyonga, BigTril, among countless others.

He went on to drop industry moving tracks such as Nvuga Kampala, the remix (featuring Flex D’Paper, Delboy, Play01, H.A.B.O and Mickey-So-Low) and Bobi Wine with the help of Dustville’s in-house hit maker Baru Beatz. Off the back of this, he was nominated and won Artist of the year Award in the 2017 UG hip hop awards.

Since leaving Dustville, Pryce Teeba has gone on to release the highly anticipated Kash Krop mixtape with three lead singles and their videos including Kash Krop playlist and Mukuba featuring Cosign. By the looks of things, he is doing better if the new videos are anything to go by.

We wish Teeba a great career ahead.
