PLE distributor knocks Alebtong boy

The boy's mother Florence Ocato, a single mother of six said the boy is in a bad state and cannot talk, sit nor eat.

ACCIDENT

ALEBTONG- Isaac Ojok, 10, from Abiting village in Apala sub county, Alebtong district was crossing the road when he was knocked by a speeding motorcycle registration number UEU 104G that was being used to deliver Primary Leaving Examination  papers to Alebtong district.

The motorcycle was impounded and is being kept at Apala Police Station while the suspect whose identify could not be got by the time of filing this report was allowed to proceed and was later held at  Alebtong Central Police Station.

The boy's mother Florence Ocato, a single mother of six said the boy is in a bad state and cannot talk, sit nor eat. 

 

She said she had so far spent sh130,000 on scans and buying the prescribed drugs. She has been told to buy other drugs worth sh80, 000 but she does not have the money.

The helpless mother said no police officer has gone to check on the condition of her son. 

Her relative Jacky Keny said she went to Apala Police Station and the office in charge told her to go to Alebtong Central Police Station, about 20kms  away and  bring the traffic police to visit the scene. 

The officer in charge of traffic at  Alebtong Abvasa Were said he was out of the station and would be visiting the victim in hospital to see his condition and record a statement from the mother. 

The hospital senior administrator, Winny Serwanjja  said the boy was admitted on November 11 and they found out that he is a patient of epilepsy and after the accident, it was discovered that he has  head injury. 

She said it is not easy to manage and they are getting challenges because the patient was on some sedative drugs."We are trying our level best as the medical team to see that his condition  is handled."
