Despite local criticism the global audience has continued to recognise Musisi for the efforts and leadership towards changing Kampala City.

With less than two months left on her resignation date, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi has yet again scooped a global award.

On Wednesday, during the urban professionals for the "Empowering Cities and Citizens" Conference in Rotterdam (Netherlands), Musisi won the Urban Professional Award.

The accolade was in recognition of her Excellency and Leadership in Urban management and development.

Musisi was a runner-up in a race of three, which was won by Enkhbayar Tsedendorj, the Chairperson of the Urban Development Resource Center (NGO) from Mongolia.

The other person in the category was Yahia Shawkat from Egypt who was also crowned a runner up.

The award was presented by IHS Alumni International.

The Rotterdam conference attracted about 300 urban professionals with an intention to share insights and experiences on urban administration.

This is the second time in a space of two month for Musisi to win an international accolade.

The first time was in September 2018 at the Africa Virtuous Women Awards 2018 held in Abuja Nigeria where she won the African Agent of Change Award.

Mansi Jasuja the president of HIS-Alumni International Board, said that Musisis' victory was after a successful selection process by distinguishing members of jury.

In the letter addressed to Musisi, he said, "You have been chosen by our distinguished members of the jury as a runner-up."
