After two seasons of digging, Olila High School are inches away from a breakthrough to a maiden Jazz Safari National Women's League topflight title.

The obsession for the league has seen the Soroti based outfit re-strategise at the start of the competition with extended training programs and a deliberate effort to keep the squad intact.

With a clear calculation of their strength and weaknesses, they had predicted a tougher competition especially because of the emerging moneyed Aziz Damani in the first division of the league.

Their journey this season records a mixed start to the campaign before a decisive five wickets victory over giants Pioneer Saturday at the tricky Entebbe lakeside oval with Skipper Mary Apio claiming 5 wickets.

"This is our second season and the girls have learnt from the past campaign and are now more confident and understand the game better" said Felix Musana manager of the club. Apio 5 wickets

It was their last game of the season to leave them on top of the summit with 23 points. As it stands they can be declared champions if second placed Aziz Damani fail to win both of their last games with bonus points.
