Second Leg

Kyambogo University  v Uganda Martyrs University

Kyambogo University coach Deo Sserwadda says they will relay on their home advantage to qualify for the semifinals of the Pepsi University Football League.

"It's of course good to be playing the second leg at home. We have a good record here in Kyambogo and for us, we are comfortable playing in front of our fans," stated Sserwadda as his side prepares to take on Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) in the return leg of the quarterfinals having settled for1-1 draw in the first leg.

"It's a difficult game. We are playing the defending champions and they are not an easy team. But good enough, we have an away goal advantage and it might come in handy."

Like Sserwadda, UMU coach Shafik Bisaso feels they have to work harder if they are to defend the title they won last year.

"Kyambogo are an excellent team and are good defensively. They stretched us in the first leg and we were only able to score in the 80th minute. Unfortunately we lost concentration in extra time and we conceded an away goal," noted Bisaso

"But we learnt from the experience and have been working on our finishing and I am confident we shall get a good result."

The winner between Kymabogo and UMU will join Bugema and Kampala University as the other teams that have qualified for the semifinals.
