A number of changes that include four new clubs will grace the second edition of the Uganda Futsal League when the five a side tournament resumes this evening at the international futsal court in Kisenyi.

Kisubi based Aidenal, Ntinda's Equator, Nomads and Crown are the new sides that will take part in this season's tournament and as they join the hunt for this season's title, last season's runners up, KSPG have also changed their name to  Mengo City as part of the league's changes.

While last season's champions Dream FC only walked away with the trophy and the champion's pride, this edition's winner will pocket Sh3m as the league association has earned sponsorship worth Sh12m from transporting company Ssaka Bulk hauliers.

Following the changes, Futsal Chairman Hamza Jjunju expects a better display after a pilot season.

"In the new season, we expect new talent, young players from different backgounds and  we expect a better display of the game since we had a pilot season. We also expect more money from interested partners," he said.
