MUBS moved to the top of the National Beach Soccer League following their 9-6 victory over Nkumba University over the weekend at Lido beach,Entebbe.

There are now joint top with Buganda Royal on nine points although they have a better goal difference. Davis Kasujja scored a brace before  Douglas Muganga, Ben Ocen, Frank Bomboka ,Faisal Muwawu and an own goal from Emmanuel Wasswa saw MUBS maintain their winning stretch.

Isaac Otto, John Atwijuka, Emmanuel Wasswa, Fahad Nsubuga and Sharif Kimbowa each had goal for Nkumba.

Elsewhere, Buganda Royal thrashed  MS Sandlions 10-3,  while Stomers beat Entebbe Sharks 6-2 before KIU settled for a 2-2 draw with Talented.

In the women category, Alphoenix received a walkover after Nkumba failed to honour the weekend game, while Katuuso Community played to 2-2 draw with defending champions Muteesa. Triplets Ghetto Kids drew 1-1 with KJT Ladies.

This year's league will be played at three different venues such as Mutoola Resort Beach, Lido Beach and Spennah Beach.
