FUFA managers course

KAMPALA - A total of 15 CAF A-licensed coaches are undergoing a five-day FUFA Football managers course at in Kampala.

The aim of the course is to impart knowledge to coaches to qualify them to become accomplished managers for clubs and players.

The new course consists of four components in the areas of leadership and management, coaches and their performance, professional communications, business marketing and finance management.

Altogether, these courses will be taught across three months.

The first part, which started on Monday, will run until Friday at Jevine Hotel.

The second session will take place from January 10 to 15 at FUFA Technical Centre. The last one will be held on February 10 until 15 at Jevine Hotel.

"As we plan to have the best coaches on the continent, we must educate you to become club managers," said UFA president Moses Magogo, who was one the facilitators of the course.

"You should improve on your computer skills that are vital in acquiring statistical information for your players and the team."

"You should not engage yourselves in doping activities and always monitor the status of your players. You should also follow the contracts of your players so that you can understand when and how to renew them".

Jackson Nyiima, Ali Mwebe, Mujib Kasule and Kyambadde Stone are other instructors of the course.
