Watenga joins Bunna of Ethiopia

The former Vipers custodian left the country on Monday.

Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Ismael Watenga has joined Ethiopia's Bunna Football Club on a two year deal worth $30,000 (sh114m)

The former Vipers custodian left the country on Monday for Addis Ababas an was unveiled on Wednesday.

Watenga who rejected a new contract at Vipers, will replace Hariston Hessou at Ethiopia Bunna Football Club.

He now becomes the fifth custodian from Uganda to play in the Ethiopia league after Denis Onyango, Posnet Omony, Hannington Kalyesubula and Robert Odongkara.

The other Ugandans plying their trade in Ethiopia are Yasser Mugerwa, Diego Hamis Kiiza (both at Fesil Kenema) and Odongkara (St George)
