Museveni fulfills pledge to Iteso Cultural Union

Last week, the President also delivered on his pledges for vehicles to over 40 community, religious, cultural and individual groups

President Yoweri Museveni has fulfilled his pledges for transportation to the Iteso Cultural Union and the Emorimor Augustine Osuban Lemukol, and the Karamoja region Khadhi, Sheik Isa Keli Pedo.

The vehicle for Emorimor was delivered by the State House transport officer Joseph Mukasa and was received by the minister for Teso affairs, Agnes Agunyu Akiror.

She was accompanied by the Teso parliamentary group chairman, Patrick Okabe, Tororo South MP Fredrick Angua, Iteso Cultural Union's Sande Ekiringi Emolot and Ekapu Otekat.

Akiror thanked President Museveni for fulfilling his pledge to ease transportation for the institution of the Emorimor.

The President also presented a vehicle to the Moroto-based Khadi of Karamoja Region, Sheik Isa Keli Pedo to ease his work in the region.

"I am very happy that the President has fulfilled his promise to us. I want to thank him for the prevailing peace in the country that has enabled development in Karamoja," Pedo said while receiving the vehicle from transport officer Caroline Akiiki Kabukye at State House in Nakasero.

Last week, President Museveni also delivered on his pledges for vehicles to over 40 community, religious, cultural and individual groups.
