Express FC chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka has expressed his administration’s readiness for the new Uganda Premier League season.

Kiwanuka had paid a courtesy call on the club patron Prince Kassim Nakibinge at his home in Kibuli, Kampala over the weekend.

The chairman briefed the patron about the immediate, short, medium and long term plans of the new administration which include streamlining the administrative structures of the club, clear definition and separation of the respective roles for various stakeholders, identifying partners and sponsors, attending to the footballing squad and addressing general discipline of the club.

He assured Nakibinge that in anticipation of the upcoming footballing season, his administrative and football team are ready.

The meeting was also attended by the club president, Bbaale Mugera and a member of the Board in charge of Human Resource and Administration, Francis Buwule.

Kiwanuka thanked the Prince for his role in ensuring stability and continuity in the governance of the club.

On his part, Prince Nakibinge, congratulated Kiwanuka on assumption of the club leadership and thanked him, as well as his team, for accepting to carry forward the club mantle.

Nakibinge assured Kiwanuka of his full and unconditional support and said he was happy with the new approach of streamlining and strengthening club structures, as well as seeking corporate partnerships, as it is the modern way of football management.

He stressed that this will be for the good of the club. He promised to continue drumming up support for the new club administration amongst members and fans of the club.
