 KAMPALA - Entebbe Ladies and Buffaloes rugby clubs won the Edward Kitaka floodlights rugby7s on Saturday night in the women and men's categories respectively at Legends Rugby Club.

In the men's category, a try by Levis Ochien was enough to hand Toyota Buffaloes their second victory over Black Pirates during the final of the Edward Kitaka Memorial Floodlight Circuit.

The first victory was early this month in the Henry Rujumba circuit at the same venue.

To reach the final, Buffaloes edged Kobs 7-0 while Pirates thumped Hima Cement Heathens 19-0 in the semi-finals.

The win put Buffaloes at the same level with Kobs 120points; each raising hopes of winning this year's national contest.

Pirates who have won the Kyadondo, Jinja and Coronations circuits are on top of the series with 136 points, sixteen ahead of Kobs and Buffaloes.

Meanwhile, in the women category, Entebbe ladies lifted the trophy after winning all their three games in a round robin format.

The beat challenger and rivals, Black Pearls in the last game 19-12 to win the circuit.
