Police in Kagadi has foiled a planned demonstration by youth asking the Government to release Bobi Wine and Zaake.

The officer in charge Kagadi Police Station, Julius Jingo told New Vision that some few youths had planned a demonstration but they got prior intelligence information and moved into action. Jingo said no person has been arrested so far, but they impounded placards as exhibits and are now at Kagadi Police Station.

Jingo said the youth had not informed Police about the intended demostration and, therefore, it was illegal.

"Their demonstration was illegal because they didn't inform the police about it," said Jingo.

However, Jingo said they launched a serious search for the people behind this illegal activity and promised to bring them to book.

Livingstone Akugizibwe, the male councillor for Ndaiga sub-county in Kagadi district said they wanted to conduct a peaceful demonstration to express their solidarity with other youth countrywide.

"For us it is a movement aimed at tasking the Government with freeing Bobi Wine and other Members of Parliament arrested from Aria," said Akuguzibwe
