KCCA FC have been boosted by the news that Gift Ali is in contention to start against Botswana's Township Rollers in the CAF Champions League this Saturday at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
Ali has been out for a month with an injury, but the midfielder returned to training this week.
KCCA will try to overturn the 1-0 lose to Township Rollers, a result that dented their chances to progress to the next level.
KCCA who placed are in Group A of the champions' league will be without their first choice goalkeeper Charles Lukwago who is suspended.
Second choice Tom Ikara will play in his place
Tunisia's Esperance who qualified for the quarterfinals, top the group with ten points, three above second placed Al-Ahly from Egypt. Township Rollers and KCCA come third and fourth respectively with three points each.
KCCA‘s chances were further dented when they went down 1-0 to Esperance last month.
The Lugogo side can only bounce back if they win their remaining two games against Township Rollers at home and Al-Ahly away.
