The Uganda Cranes Head coach Sebastien Desabre has summoned 30 players to start preparations for the 2019 TOTAL AFRICA Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Cranes host Taifa Stars of Tanzania on September, 8 at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

“I am confident in the players summoned. All the players are very motivated and ready to give their best. Personally, I have done research and follow up on most players,” Desabre said.

The summoned squad will kickoff their training sessions starting with local based players on September, 1 at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo. The professional players will join the rest of the team on September, 3.

Cranes top Group L  with three points. The group consists of Tanzania, Lesotho and Cape Verde. Uganda beat Cape Verde 1-0 in the opening game of the qualifiers last year. Tanzania and Lesotho both share a point having played to a one all draw in their opening group game.
