Onduparaka v SC Villa
KAMPALA - KCCA FC reached the final of the Pilsner Super 8 after beating new league entrants, Nyamityobora 4-0 Tuesday evening at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.
Patrick Kaddu who was the man of the match scored a brace before Allan Okello and Lawrence Bukenya added one each for the Lugogo side.
Kaddu also walked away with sh150,000 for his performance.
Onduparaka will face SC Villa in the second semifinal that will be played this Thursday at Green Light stadium, Arua.
The Pilsner Super 8 is inaugural pre-season tournament played by top six teams from last season topflight league and two clubs that were promoted directly from FUFA Big League to Uganda Premier League.
The tournament is sponsored by Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) who injected sh90m under their brand-Pilsner.
The single-tie knockout tournament is the first of its kind.
A prize money of sh30m will be shared by all 8 clubs with the winner walking away with sh10m while runner-ups will eceive sh5m each.
Individual wards will also be given away at the final of the competition.
The final is scheduled for August 25 at a venue yet to be confirmed.
