China Corporate badminton tournament starts

The tournament has games in the men and women singles, men doubles and mixed doubles.​

The first edition of the Ugandan-China Corporate Badminton tournament is at the MTN Arena with 16 corporate teams taking on each other in four groups of four teams each.

Each team will play against the other teams in their respective group in each match category. The two teams with the highest number of wins in each match category against the other teams in a group, will progress to the next stage.

The team that will progress through each subsequent stage until the final with the highest number of wins against their opponents will be crowned champions.

The Chinese embassy is drawn in Group A alongside China Almuni Association in Uganda (CAAU), China Communication and Construction Corporation (CCCC) and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

Group B has SinoHydro, Bank of Uganda, Blue Wave and Entebbe Institute and Geological, while Group C is composed of Chongqing International Construction Corporation, Barclays Bank Uganda, City Tyres and the Chinese Embassy team 2.

The Chinese Medical team and Confucius Institute, Stanbic Bank, CNOOC Uganda and Bank of Africa complete the roster in Group D.

The tournament that will end with final round games next week has games in the men and women singles, men doubles and mixed doubles.
