LUWERO - Ndejje Elite women volleyball team coach, Johnson Kawenyera believes his side is in good shape to take on the Uganda Christian University (UCU).

"We can't wait for tomorrow's game. The girls are responding well in training and I believe that we shall win the derby if we put more emphasis on scoring, we have to kill their balls, receive and attack," Kawenyera said.

The teams meet in Luwero on Wednesday.

The dual have 12 points each. They sit in the second and third positions of the Notional Volleyball League Serie A women's table respectively.

Meanwhile, UCU's Elias Isiagi, Jonathan Tumukunde and Johnson Rukundo are the players to watch in the men's category.

UCU who top Series A men's table with 12 points in four games are the game favorite as they serve off against Ndejje that sits in 10 position with only two points in two games.

The Mukono based side has so far made four unbeaten runs in the league.

UCU have greatly relied on Tumukunde and Rukundo who have great speed and attacking accuracy.

Tumukunde made 90% of their points during their last league against Nkumba and led his side to a 3-0 victory in Mukono last week.

Ndejje, who lost their previous league game against KCCA will have to aim at blocking and covering so fast if they are to step in today's winning bracket.

After the Wednesday games, the Luwero based side will travel to Entebbe next week for another University derby against Nkumba. Both the women and men's teams willbe expected at the contest.
