FUFA received a letter from Misagga confirming that he had obliged to their directive and handed over all administrative instruments to the club CEO Ivan Kakembo.

SC Villa club fans are set to fill the void left by Ben Misagga following the expiration of his term as club president, when they converge to elect new leadership at Villa Park on Sunday.

According to Denis Mbidde one of the aspiring candidates for the post, him and some fans have since Misagga's resignation, met a number of players who were on the blink of leaving the club because of outstanding wages and convinced them to stay as they sort out the administration of the club.

"Many of us had shown interest in the Villa presidency, meanwhile, we were losing players, but we have since conviced players such as Samson Kirya, Ambrose Kirya, Allan Kyambadde, Arthur Kiggundu, Martin Kizza, Vitalis Tabu, Joseph Nsubuga and Henry Katongole to stay with a promise to work on their wide range of issues including wage arrears," Mbidde said.

He said they were now in the process of recruiting more players who they will unveil on Sunday before they get into elections, to start training

"After Misagga's resignation we have to move forward so we have to change many things to take the club forward. We are going to pay all outstanding arrears due to the players but most importantly elect new leadership, so I call upon all fans to come to Villa Park on Sunday so that we forge a way forward," Mbidde stated.

He said the first important thing was to fill the void left by Misagga before ensuring that the leadership conforms to the FUFA statutes and that it is upon the owners of the club to elect new leaders that they will present to FUFA.

"In the interim Paul Mukatabala is the coach assisted by Sula Kato and Sulait Makumbi and in the near future we shall officially unveil the new coaching staff that will take the team forward," Mbidde said.

He said all those interested in the seat are free to come and contest on Sunday.

Meanwhile, on Monday FUFA received a letter from Misagga confirming that he had obliged to their directive and handed over all administrative instruments to the club CEO Ivan Kakembo.
