FUFA Drum competitions resume

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

KAMPALA - The FUFA Drum Competition will resume this weekend with different quarterfinal games.

 

Eight teams will tussle it out in the home and away basis quarterfinal affairs.

 

Competition chairman, Rogers Byamukama is optimistic that fans will be offered  an interesting weekend with thrilling action

 

"We have reached a stage where the boys have been separated from men. We would like to thank all the Provinces that participated in the group stages and congratulate all the teams that made it to the quarterfinals. 

 

"The organisers together with FUFA are excited with the growth of the FUFA Drum Competition in the first season,"stated Byamukama.

 

Bugisu Province who were the last team to qualify for the quarterfinals will host West Nile Province in one the tricky ties at Mbale Municipal stadium.

 

At Kakyeeka stadium, Ankole Province  will face Busoga  while Bukedi will play Acholi at Palisa Hosptial Ground. On Sunday, Buganda will take on Kampala at Bishop SS ground,Mukono.

 

The return leg matches of the quarterfinals will be played on July 7 and 8 respectively.

 

The final will be played in October on a home and way format.
