Golola to meet Semata in a challenge fight

KAMPALA - The Uganda Kickboxing Federation (UKF) has approved a match between Moses Golola and Umar Semata scheduled for October 13 at Freedom City.

Partick Luyooza,  who is UKF's acting president said that the federation will allow the athletes to fight despite their weight differences as it is a challenge fight not a title fight.

Semata, a.k.a; the pain weighs 75kg while Golola, well known for building his personal brand weighs 85kg which puts the two in different weight categories.

The dual have won two of their last games but however, the stats don't support Semata who many have seen as the favorite for this match.

Ssemata has a total of 77 career fights with 44 wins, 30 losses and three draws while Golola has 36 wins in 41 fights with only four losses.

 
"This fight is a challenge none-title fight which is different from other title fights where titles are given according to weights, so the two agreed to challenge themselves and we gave them the permision to do so.

"The match will be under the Waorld Kickboxing Federation rules of K1 style, they will have five rounds of which each round will last three minutes," Luyooza told the New Vision after the press briefing.

Meanwhile, Golola who silenced Abu Kikenwa in his last fight at freedom city said that he is set and after winning the game he will resort to training other players do to his passion for the sport.

"After winning this fight in October, I will rest and start training for the sake of passion. After all I will have silenced everyone in this sport but never the less i will not leave the sport for good," Golola said

The winner in will take home sh10m while the runners up will get sh4m. The game has been sponsored by Pemba Sports Africa.
