Watching the 2018 FIFA World Cup is getting easier by the day and is now a bundle away following a partnership MTN has entered with StarTimes.

Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Olivier Prentout who was in the company of Susan Kayemba the Senior Manager Digital Services-MTN and StarTimes Uganda vice-president Aldrine Nsubuga launched the partnership that will enable fans watch the World Cup on their mobile phones.

Prentout said watching the World Cup on a mobile phone is part of the revolution and innovation that is happening in television and the smartphone world with apps which enables users to watch whatever they need while on the move.

"We have come up with time-based TV Data Bundles that enables customers to buy depending on their need and have partnered with StarTimes to ensure football fans catch the live action while on the move, so we would like to encourage our customers to enjoy using the TV bundle," Prentout said.

Nsubuga welcomed the partnership with MTN and said innovation has now enabled fans to watch the World Cup wherever they are and whenever they want since some games start during working hours. He said their app was easy to download from Google Play or at the App Store and brings much convenience.

"You need sh1, 000/-, sh3, 000/- or sh9, 000/- for a day, week or a month to be able to use the app. No matter how many matches you want to watch over a certain period of time; which is incredible in terms of affordability," Nsubuga stated.
