The archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace Stanley Ntagali has received the new-constructed Church House. The building, located on Kampala Road, has been under construction for the last five years.

The Church House project started in the 1970s, but was spearheaded by the former archbishop, the late Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyooyo.

There had been reports that the bank that lent money to the Church to complete the building was threatening to take it, but during the Martyrs' Day celebrations at Namugongo on June 3, 2018, President Yoweri Museveni assured the Church that the Government will assist them to save the building.
