Ronz sunk Maga B 10-2 in the Ladies Pool League to go top of the table on goal difference.

The Jinja team has played consistently without drawing attention to their body of work, also taking advantage of Skin Samona and CKI's preoccupation with each other, to win quietly.

Ronz manager, Hanz Rugari, believes just like his men's team last season, the women's team has struck up a good balance.

"This season we have a better captain in Aisha Madondo and new signing Sheila Ankah is on form and is the league's top scorer," he said.

Based on his team's current form, Rugari thinks the girls can win the title but is weary about the men's team who have looked nothing like the side that won the title last season.

"The girls have been doing well all season they are unbeaten as we speak but the men are struggling to be honest. They have failed to earn a single bonus point and even their wins have been narrow," Rugari added.

He attributes the bad form to personal problems amongst his best players and he thinks going forward, players like Eric Mugabo and Allan Nsubuga have to raise their level to that of the previous season.

On Sunday, Hot Pool men humiliated Ntinda Giants 19-1 in a Rock Catalina derby to send them to the top of the table as well.

"I told the lads before the game began, don't underestimate the team you are going to play, it could hurt you. They capitalised on mistakes the opponent made and we won," Hot Pool captain Kim Kirunga said.
