DP YOUTH REACT- Makindye Division Democratic Party Youth leaders have threatened to go out of the way if the party leadership doesn't revise the strategy to achieve power in the upcoming general elections.

The youth activists. led by Lusagala Bosco, councillor, Kibuye 1, argued that they have been always summoned for meetings without  serious  agenda. He added  that there have been a number of activities in the name of laying strategies such as the revival crusades held last year, but none have achieved anything for the party.

"We really need serious work, not things of proposals. They invite us to waste time," Lusagala said. He further said they will not relent until the party top leadership heed to their demands. He added that their ultimate goal as youth is to get into authority.

Lusagala noted that their leaders have simply helped the continuation of the National Resistance Movement in power. He was speaking to the various party youth leaders in Nabisaalu, Makindye Division offices in reference to the recent meeting intended to revive the party.

One of the party youth activists, Lubayiza Silvester,  said the time has come to move the party leadership to act other than serving their followers with political commentary.

"The strategies are too gentle. We prefer a robust approach," Lubayiza noted. He said as youths need a more serious and youth driven approach.

He said the party leaders have completely lost track which has enabled the ruling party to torment the youths in the country. Lubayiza noted that there are a number of challenges affecting the youths including unemployment, access to good education, medicine in the hospitals.

Lubayiza said they have been patient with the current regime for 32 years which their party leadership has failed to oust, and now they cannot wait.

Geoffrey Kaweesa further said they are dismayed that the old party in the country has not served the leadership of this country but has been following other opposition parties. He added that it's a shame for having failed all the time because of lack of current party leaders thinking strategically.

Peter Zizinga said the youth in the country feel they have the capacity to take the leadership in the country, but their party leadership has not prepared and organised for it.
