Evoke Night excites Kampala

May 18, 2018

Fast taking many millennials by storm with its eccentricity, the activities at Evoke Night are, as many on social media have called them; “to die for”.

Uganda's entertainment scene is littered with hordes of new events. Yet, surprisingly, every other event seems to own a substantial crowd. The latest among many such events is Evoke Night.

Fast taking many millennials by storm with its eccentricity, the activities at Evoke Night are, as many on social media have called them; "to die for".

And this month's edition is not any different.  According to snippets of information that have filtered through the fissures of the organizers hands and circulated on social media, the show will have phenomenal performances and renditions of the world's biggest and most popular soundtracks from fan-favorite movies and series.

These performances will be executed through Evoke's entertainment avenues; Acapella, Dance, Live band, Spoken word and DJ sessions. How is that for a show? A long sequence of mellow and nostalgia-evoking performances delivered with such artistry.

Even better is, in true recognition and support of the Ugandan Film Industry, there will be a screening of one of Uganda's most riveting short films, ever.

Evoke Night, a monthly event series of night entertainment  that fuses Rap, Acapella, Spoken Word, Fashion, Live band and dance, aims to inspire Uganda's Urban and semi-urban youth to be productive towards  the country's political, economic and social aspects through its informative and engaging activities.

"Evoke Night grows with every edition, reaching a bigger youthful crowd and coming up with better ideas to keep this crowd entertained and informed. The film industry is undoubtedly one of, if not the biggest entertainment industry in the world, and it immensely impacts the livelihoods of the youth world over," relayed Timothy Bukenya, Head Cheese, Evoke.

The edition, dubbed, "Lights, Camera, Evoke!" that will pay homage to the film industry, will happen on 31st May at the Square.
