Edgars Youth Program excites holiday makers

The holiday program will end on May 25 with friendly matches between the different age groups.

Three days since it started, the Edgars Youth Football program holiday program continues to excite holiday makers who are interested in developing their skills during the schools' break.

Three centers have been opened at Old Kampala Secondary School ground, Kiwatule Recreation Center and at the Africa Bible University ground in Lubowa for interested parents who can register their children for the three-weeks training. Only players aged 12 years and below will be accommodated at the African Bible University- Lubowa.

According to one of the financial assistants Joan Kamahoro, who we found at Old Kampala, the Edgars Youth Football Program encompasses different kinds of football training for interested parties.

"The first requirement is to register the kid with us, choose what kind of program you want the kid to attend and also choose a ground that is convenient for the parent to drop and pick their child after the training which we now have daily from Monday to Friday," Kamahoro said.

She said other than the holiday program they also run weekend, one on one, home training and travel programs that the parent chooses depending on their capabilities.

For sh65,000/- every child from four years on wards can learn or improve their football skills for the next three weeks with Edgars who have imparted soccer skills to different players since 2004.

The holiday program will end on May 25 with friendly matches between the different age groups.

In July, the Edgars Youth Programme will send children to compete in the London Cup that attracts skilled players from all over the world. After, participants will also tour London and will visit home grounds for some of the Premier League teams in the area. As a relaxation moment of the tour, the participants will also visit the London Eye and the Queen's Palace.
