The Lady Cricket Cranes' mixed start in the Zimbabwe Women's T20 Cup suggests Uganda should learn to win on a consistent-enough basis ahead of the ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier3- 14 July 2018 in the Netherlands.

Gertrude Chandiru continued to be a dependable figure for  Uganda scoring a game high 31 from 27 balls as her side successfully chased the game against Namibia Sunday.

Rachael Ntono  had earlier opened with 16 before she was run out by Van Schoor.

Immaculate Nakisuyi had, in Namibia's innings claimed 3 wickets. This was a continuation in form by the youngster who recently excelled in the UCA Girls Schools Cricket Week.

Meanwhile Uganda failed to go past familiar foes Tanzania in the other game. The latter had a moderate scoring innings posting 103 in their allotted 20 overs.

The chasing side came crumbling with Uganda's openers Rachael Ntono and Mary Nalule out for  ducks.

All-rounder Pricco Nakitende and Immaculate Nakisuyi had 19 and 20 respectively but the scores were not enough as Uganda were all out for 82.

Honestly it was not expected to be easy pickings for Uganda in spite of these are the same teams that they beat to become African champions last year, booking a spot in the global qualifiers.
