KCCA FC to build new stadium

An artistic impression of a 7,000-seater facility, excited fans and officials and it is expected to cost sh55b.

KCCA FC expects to start the construction of a modern stadium at the end of the season.

This was revealed during the launch of a new five-year strategic plan for the club in Kampala on Wednesday

"Having a road map will help us to achieve what we want in the future. KCCA has grown a brand of sufficient value," stated KCCA chairman Aggrey Ashaba.

KCCA executive director Jennifer Musisi, Buganda government sports minister Henry Ssekabembe, Deputy Lord Mayor Sarah Kanyike, former chairman Julius Kabugo, past and current players and officials including board members were some of the dignitaries that attended the event.

The facility, whose ground breaking is expected to start at the end of the season, is registered under facilities and infrastructure development.

Other key areas that will be attended to in the five year strategy plan include;

Human Capital development

This will cost sh960m and will be majorly to enhance skills, knowledge and talent of individuals in order to create economic value for the club and its stakeholders.

Governance, Systems and Processes

The club will look at different platforms to support their operations and sh210m has been put aside to ensure that is done. This will also help to develop the financial, administrative and procurement systems of the club.

Financial growth and sustainability

Sh1.63n has been earmarked to ensure the club is financially independent through profitable football and non-football processes. Here different ways such as setting up merchandise outlets, hiring the field, selling image rights and endorsements will be done to generate income. Strategic alliances and partnerships

In order to strengthen existing and identify partnership with individuals, clubs, professional associations, private sector, sponsors and legends and sh1b has  been set aside to ensure that this is carried out.

Brand visibility, marketing, communication and public relations

Here the club intends to maintain sustainable relationships with the public, rebrand, develop internal and external communication policies and guidelines. Implement marketing strategy and all this is estimated to cost sh1.55b.

Fans and membership growth

This one of the biggest key aspect in building the club  and KCCA FC hope to  develop it through strengthening and supporting new  fans branches , setting up guidelines for the fans branches, carrying out quarterly visits to the branches and a total of sh1.08b has been put in place to achieve this.

In total the five year strategy plan will cost sh61.43b
