The best laid plans of mice and men normally go awry!

Skin Samona experienced that first hand against Ronz as they could only fashion a draw from their Betway Senior Pool League encounter at Hotel Pacify Wakaliga.

The visitors played a tactical match that literary suffocated the depleted Samona who had a few top players missing.

They were without Uthman Bukenya and Amos Ndyagumanawe's who are struggling with injuries from separate motor accidents, while Tony Kasozi is serving a month long ban dating back to last season.

He started a scuffle that led to the abandonment of the match between Skin Samona and CKI, and for those transgressions he was punished by the Pool Association of Uganda.

"The game was very hard and we didn't perform as we expected due to the absence of Kasozi, Amos and Uthman. I fielded two inexperienced players and of course Patrick Mujuzi is struggling for form," he said.

He relied a lot on Dan Mubiru who had a lot of expectation on his shoulders considering he helped Ronz to their first Senior Pool League Title.

"I fielded a young player in Isaac Ssebufu, while Isaac Ssenabulya had never played a single league match in two years and that inexperience showed. Dan was our best players as he scored three games out of four while Goeffrey Ssetumba and I scored two out of four which was not good enough," he said.

The reigning Nile Special National Open Champion went a step further and admitted his side was lucky to come out of the match with a win.

"We were lucky that we managed to get the draw but we are still certain we can win the league. Only three points separate us from Hot Pool who top the league for now," he assured.
