Canaan High School went guns blazing to clinch this year's edition of the Uganda Lacrosse Girls Championship Saturday at the Mehta stadium in Lugazi.

The hosts rallied their troops to secure maximum points in a highly riveting contest that partly served as a scouting ground by Uganda Lacrosse ahead of next year's U19 Girls World Lacrosse Championships in Canada.

The decisive tie came certainly against natural contenders Namagunga with Gaylene Gaswaga who could eventually turn out the MVP failing to fuel her side past a resilient Canaan High School who came up big 5-2.

There is quite much to read from Ruth Atuhaire's jaw dropping performance that saw her score a remarkable 12 goals in the one day championship. Her return was the best from a player!

The youngster is not doubt seen as a mainstay in Girls Lacrosse and perhaps she already makes a cut for the national team selection.

Meanwhile, visitors Moi Secondary School won two games and lost two in the absentia of Gayaza High School that was expected to add steam to the championship.
