Museveni congratulates gold winner Chesang

President Yoweri Museveni has congratulated Stella Chesang for winning gold in women's 10,000m finals in the ongoing 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia.

The President via his tweeter handle @KagutaMuseveni,  said Chesang has made her country, Uganda proud.

"I want to congratulate Stella Chesang for winning Gold in the Women's 10,000m finals at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Cost, Australia. You have done your country proud," he wrote.

Their win follows yesterday's heated competition that saw Joshua Cheptegei win gold in the 5000m in the men's category.

In the today's category, Mercylien Chelangat (also from Uganda) emerged and scooped bronze, while Juliet Chekwel finished in the seventh position.
