Boxing legends want end to wrangles

The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) patron Godfrey Nyakana has vowed to calm down the ongoing boxing wrangles that have soiled sport's image.

During a press briefing at Lugogo, Nyakana said the federation and other stakeholders will launch a campaign aimed at sorting out problems.

Nyakana who has teamed up with Ayub Kalule, Samuel Lukanga and Stephen Acigafula is determined to get more boxing legends to curb the infighting.

"Seniors will act a very big role in our campaign, I know that if we utilise their experience and the fact that they were successful during their time, then boxing will reign again," said Nyakana.

Nyakana said they will sit with the federation to forge a way forward.
