Uganda Hippos captain Julius Poloto has said his side is ready to put up a good show in the return leg of the 2019 Total U-20 Cup of Nations qualifier against South Sudan on April 22 in Juba.

"We shall put up good display in the return leg, since we have seen how our opponents (South Sudan) play," Poloto said.

Poloto spoke to the New Vision after the Hippos beat South Sudan 5-1 over the weekend in the first leg at Star Times stadium, Lugogo.

A win for the Hippos after two legs, will see them take on Cameroon in the next stage for the 2019 finals to be held in Niger.

The 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations will be the 15th edition of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations. This is a biennial international youth football tournament organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for players aged 20 and below.  Zambia are the defending champions.

The top four teams after finals in Niger will qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland as the CAF representatives.

The qualifiers will be played between 30 March and 22 July 2018. At the end of the qualification phase, seven teams will join the hosts Niger.
