APAC - The premises of Inomo Secondary School in Apac district were destroyed by strong wind on Monday.
Joe Robbin Okwir, the school headteacher, said staff houses, administration block, classrooms, solar panels and other office equipment worth sh12.5m was destroyed.
Erick Ebong, one of the school's management committee members, said over 50 hectares of crops in the gardens were destroyed by the heavy downpour.
However, the LC3 chairperson of Inomo sub-county, Douglas Abura, said the incidence happened due to environmental degradation in the area.
He requested residents to desist from such and collectively conserve the environment.
