CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

KAMPALA - The Minister of Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Eng. Hillary Onek, has spoken out on allegations that he sired two children with Lady Justice Elizabeth Musoke.

Lawyer Male Mabirizi on Wednesday asked Musoke to excuse herself from the Constitutional Court panel that will hear the consolidated constitutional petitions challenging the process and subsequent amendment of the Constitution over alleged conflict of interest.

Mabirizi argued that he had information that the judge had children with two ministers, who are interested parties in the petition he filed.

One of the ministers he mentioned is Onek.

Mabirizi said Onek fathered two children with Musoke and voted ‘YES' in favour of amending the Constitution to scrap age limit and re-introduced presidential term limits.

In an exclusive interview to run in Sunday Vision, Onek explains the relationship with the judge that he said ended 25 years ago.

He also allays fears of Mabirizi that Musoke will have a conflict of interest in the matter that will come up for hearing in Mbale on April 9.
