KAMPALA - A Cabinet meeting has approved the amendment of the NSSF Act, to among other things, allow the Government borrow money from the sh9 trillion workers' security fund to finance infrastructure development.

According to Janat Mukwaya, the Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, the proposal is contained in the approved principles to amend the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Act Cap 222.

Mukwaya, who was yesterday addressing journalists at the Uganda Media Centre, said under the new proposals, the ministers want the law to be refined to allow NSSF lend to Government.
