Uganda teams draw tough opposition at the ACC

Uganda Volleyball Federation president Hadijja Namanda believes the teams will do well.

VVC and Nkumba University Volleyball club have drawn tough opposition at the Africa Club Volleyball champions which starts tomorrow in Cairo Egypt.

Nkumba were drawn in pool A against Al Ahly, Nyong of Cameroon and the Rwanda Revenue Authority, while VVC sit in group C with El Shaams of Egypt, Kenya Pipeline, FAP of Cameroon and DGSP of Congo.

VVC are grouped with north Africans El shaam and Pipeline, a side that has won the championship before.

Nkumba was drawn  in a group of four seeing as the clubs available are only 19 out of the 22 that had confirmed participation.

Uganda Volleyball Federation president Hadijja Namanda believes the teams will do well at the competition because they have played at that level before.

"Our teams are good; all the teams travelling have been at this stage before and performed well. Our expectations are a great performance. I believe the teams can get to the knock out stages," she said.
