Former Bubulo MP Tonny Kipoi Nsubuga and Robert Kitale, who were arrested in Botswana and deported to Uganda on Saturday morning, have been taken to Nalufenya Police facility in Jinja, according to Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima.

The two were recently arrested in Botswana and charged in court there on two counts; illegally staying in the country and falsely obtaining money pretending to be traditional doctors.

Authorities in Botswana declared both personal non grata and deported them back to Uganda. According to Kayima, Kipoi  had been facing cases before he fled the country. There were two cases of human trafficking in Bukede CRB 393/2013 and treason E/439/2012.
