Tanzania's Magufuli arrives for EAC summit

EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY

President Yoweri Museveni Wednesday morning received his Tanzanian counterpart John Pombe Magufuli at Entebbe International Airport.

Magufuli is here ahead of the 19th EAC Heads of State Summit which starts Thursday.

Museveni and Magufuli held a bilateral discussion focusing on areas of economic and trade interests for both countries.

Hundreds of delegates of the six-member East African Community, including the six heads of state, will converge in Kampala this week.

The EAC member nations are: Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan.
