Expectations high as VNSC hosts Kaazi sports bash

KAAZI SPORTS BASH

The annual Kaazi Sports Bash is fairly seen with rose tinted glasses. Riveting and fun-filled, it offers a recreational opportunity for different people as they engage in a series of events in the refreshing environs of Kaazi.

Hosted by the Victoria Nyanza Sailing Club (VNSC) on Sunday and organised by Activate Uganda, it has three major events on the menu; Kaazi fun run, kaazi MTB challenge and Sailing. The BBQ looks more like a bonus!

Running distances include 10km,5km and 3km.The MTB distance is 15km.

The anticipation is quite high with the sailors in particular building up to the biggest sailing event; Uganda Laser Open early next month.

There has been a reinvention at the club following a year of loss (2017) when sailing equipment was lost in a robbery. Well, new year, new beginnings for Reint Bakema and Co.

Meanwhile Activate Uganda, an adventure oriented organisation in Uganda is synonymous with social sports events with the popular Santa Run in the fall of last year being one of the latest activations. The activities have been well-received in spite of coming at a cost.

This particular event has accommodated children as well in what could be a perfect family day out.
