The Government of Uganda is committed to providing more support to the dairy subsector as a priority commodity because it has demonstrated that it can quickly transform livelihoods. Milk is an excellent source of essential nutrients such as proteins, calcium, phosphorous, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins A, B6 and B12 that are easily digested by children and adults for proper development of the brain, body, strong bones, energy and good eye sight.

Dairy farming is one of the few enterprises that enables farmers to earn on a daily basis and has a demonstrated potential to contribute towards the transformation of Uganda from a peasant society to a modern and prosperous country, a pursuit that is enshrined in Uganda Vision 2040. CLICK HERE FOR MORE ON THIS
