Makerere to recall degrees

Makerere University is to recall all degrees from graduates who did not complete tuition even after completion of their studies.

The acting deputy vice chancellor in charge of finance and administration William Bazeeyo says that they have realised over time there are some students who have misused the generosity of the university to allow them sit for exams.

Bazeeyo threatens to cancel degrees for all defaulters for the last 5 years.

Bazeeyo has also warned all students who have not cleared all the university fees to do so immediately because they risk not appearing on the graduation list.
