Bakabulindi to open health institution games

The state minister for sports Charles Bakabulindi is expected to open the national health training institution games which are slated to take place in Gulu starting on December 10.

The event is being hosted by Gulu School of Clinical Officers, according to the institution's deputy principal, Lawrence Arach.

Arach added that the minister will also be accompanied by a delegation from the education ministry. It is the first time Gulu is hosting the event.

"We shall welcome about 3,000 participants from 60 health training institutions and nurses' training schools across the country," he said in an interview.

The games will feature football, netball, volleyball, and athletics among others.

The football competition shall be played at St Joseph College Layibi, Gulu High School and Prisons Primary School grounds.
