According to the President, many diseases would be blocked forever if people ensured proper hygiene, good nutrition, slept under treated mosquito nets and got immunized.

President Yoweri Museveni has explained his good health disclosing that has managed to make it to 73 years of age because ‘I do not drink alcohol.'

"I have been here for the last 30 years and all this time you have never heard that Museveni is sick and is hospitalized. I do not have time for sickness," he said.

According to the President, many diseases would be blocked forever if people ensured proper hygiene, good nutrition, slept under treated mosquito nets and got immunized.

"Also, avoid promiscuous behavior and alcoholism because you risk catching diseases such as HIV/AIDS," the President advised.

He said the government's most successful effort has been immunization which started with 8 vaccines but now reached 13 vaccines including against Hepatitis B.

The President made the remarks at the ground breaking ceremony for Ngora-Nyero-Kumi water supply and sanitation project at Agu village.

The sh24.5b project to be completed in June 2018 will supply 10 million litres of water per day.
